Here we will focus on

This is a basic line by line
review of the manuscript. It will look at typos, missing words, inconsistencies
of all aspects, grammar issues and any other possible issues that may occur
such as sentence fragments or structure. It will not include any plotting
issues unless they are glaring. They will only be mentioned in comments.
Content Editing ~

This is our most
comprehensive edit and will be done only when your story is completed. Content
edits are where major structural changes can occur to a story. Here plot problems are noted. Things like point of view inconsistencies, awkward
sentences or dialogue and character development are evaluated. Also included
are pacing, style and anything noticed that would drag the manuscript down such
as repeated or overused words. We note run-on sentences, clarity and flow and
will even do basic fact checking especially if it pulls us out of the story. Basically, we do a line-by-edit and will include reports from state-of-the-art editing programs such as ProWritingAid at no extra cost.

NOTE: All editing is done via
track changes on Word. You send us your manuscript and we send back an edited
manuscript with comments as well as changes listed throughout the manuscript as
needed. If you are getting proofreading only, and this means that the
manuscript has thoroughly been edited by us or someone else, you will get a
copy with track changes and a copy with those changes already made. Remember,
proofreading is the LAST item to be done before publication and your book
should reflect that effort. Should we find that your book is not at a
proofreading level, we will discuss the options with you at that time.
